Look, we've been sending people out into the world since 2011. We're not here to sell you generic package deals or stick you on a bus with 47 other tourists. What we do is figure out what actually excites you—then make it happen. You want to hike through Carpathian villages? Trek into Transylvania's back roads? Camp under stars in the Danube Delta? We've done it. We know the locals. We know where the crowds aren't. Our whole thing is built on one idea: travel should feel like an adventure, not a checklist.

Founder & Lead Guide
Started Horizon out of frustration with generic tourism. Spends 200+ days per year in the field. Knows the Carpathians like his backyard. Makes terrible jokes but keeps everyone safe.
Cristina Moldovan
Operations & Local Networks
Grew up in rural Brașov. She's the one solving problems before they happen. Speaks four languages. Knows every guesthouse owner and village baker between here and the Black Sea.
Mihai Ștefan
Senior Guide & Logistics
Former mountaineer turned full-time guide. Been leading groups since 2014. Trained in wilderness first aid. Can read weather and navigate by feel. Brings a harmonica to camp.

Our Story
Started by two friends who got tired of corporate travel jobs. In 2011, we opened Horizon Tours with one rickety desk and a stack of maps in Oradea. Early days meant driving clients around ourselves, cooking meals together, sleeping in the same guesthouses. That's how we learned what works. Over 13 years, we've expanded to Brașov and built relationships with guides, locals, and accommodation owners who actually care. We've never taken investment money. We've never sold out. We've just kept growing the way word-of-mouth tells us to.
